Punjab Village Chefs Trained Under Kitchen Schools

Punjab is empowering rural youth through “Kitchen Skills Centres,” training them in culinary arts—regional and global cuisines—and food hygiene. Each training center hosts 50 students with commercial-grade kitchens. The pilot launched across 20 villages with plans to extend to 10,000 participants over two years. Graduates will qualify for catering jobs or launch micro-eateries, aiding rural incomes.
